The San Antonio Eco-Summit ReCap

The San Antonio Eco-Summit was a big success! Thank you to everyone that attended and added their voice to the conservation conversation. We had over 70 people in attendance, including land owners, biologists, local residents, and Master Naturalists. Annalisa Peace from the Greater Edwards Aquifer Alliance spoke about water conservation issues in, and around, the San Antonio Area. With such great attendance, the afternoon breakout sessions were full of discussion. Breakout session topics included Lobbying, Water Conservation, Education and Outreach, Funding Strategies for Conservation, Sustainable Development, and Marketing Wildlife.

A special thanks goes out to the staff at the Phil Hardberger Park Urban Ecology Center and the Alamo Area Master Naturalists for helping produce such a great event! I highly recommend visiting the park if you are in the San Antonio Area.

I am proud to announce that the remaining two Eco-Summits have reached maximum occupancy. We look forward to seeing you in Fort Worth and Houston!
